Welcome to the 8th SmashingConf NYC! We’re excited to have you in this beautiful city and want to make sure you have a truly smashing time. We’ve put together some helpful tips so you can make the most of your visit — especially if you find yourself with some free time.
SmashingConf is built around two big ideas: sharing and bringing people together. It’s all about learning from each other — real-world techniques, lessons, ideas, and stories — in a relaxed, friendly setting.
Keeping it personal: No suits, no huge crowds. Just useful, hands-on talks from experts who work on real projects, all in a welcoming, open environment. We follow a strong code of conduct and expect everyone to be respectful and kind.
We’re expecting 350 in person, and about 200 online attendees from all over the world — designers, developers, UX pros, content strategists, marketers, and more. It’s a diverse group of experienced professionals who are eager to grow and learn from one another. Many are returning friends, and that personal connection is what makes this event special.
With so much talent in one place, it’s a great chance to connect and collaborate. Join our Slack channel to meet others before things kick off. Add in a few classic Smashing surprises, and we’re sure this September will be fun, inspiring, and truly unforgettable!
